About the Role
The Video Editor/Content Assistant must have a passion for visual and written storytelling with a journalist's mindset, as well as an obsession with content performance and optimization. You are responsible for creating and writing content for videos using advanced video editing software. You will assemble recorded footage and turn it into a coherent, informative, and entertaining piece of media and ensure that the final product is fitting with the creative vision.
Key Responsibilities
Understand and believe in the 'They ask, Your answer' concept by Marcus Sheridan.
Video editing - educational, sales and social videos.
Collecting b-roll footage.
Working closely with sales and services teams to determine the topics of the videos and how to prioritize what to produce.
The ability to maintain consistent project management and process that will allow your team to create 2-3 videos a week consistently.
Working with our team as on-camera talent as the subject of your video content.
Contributing to all aspects of production including, but not limited to:
Pre-production scripting and collaboration
Post-production editing and publication
Reporting on assessing the effectiveness of video content
Professional development and continued education in relevant areas (e.g., content technology, HubSpot certifications, writing proficiency).
Publish at least two new videos per week.
Support the Content Manager with written content, to ensure the team meet three pieces of written content a week.
Assisting with interviewing internal subject matter experts for content.
Assisting in the social sharing of the video content.
Position Prerequisites
Must-Have
Proficient with Video Editing Software (Adobe Premiere Pro).
Experience with Adobe After Effects or Motion is preferred.
Proficient at storyboarding, scripting, and concept.
Understand basic and advanced composition techniques.
Very detail oriented and able to identify quality issues in writing, audio, and video.
Proficient interview skills and getting the most out of in-house subject matter experts.
Clear articulation of the business goal behind the creation of a piece (or series) of content.
Project management skills to manage editorial schedules and deadlines within corporate and ongoing campaigns.
Has a team mentality.
Nice to Have
Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
