Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the review of the monthly tax estimates workpapers for AQR hedge funds
Complete documentation of the monthly tax estimates workpapers review following the oversight procedures and timely communicate the exceptions noted
Prepare additional supporting workpapers and reconciliation schedules to assist with the monthly tax estimates review
Perform SQL database inquiries and table the results in AQR standard format.
Compliance with the preparation and maintenance of updated process documentations
Any related process as required by AQR
Qualifications:
Must be highly organized, with excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritize activities effectively
High attention to details
Excellent command of the English language - oral and written
Can work with minimal supervision and deliver high quality output
Must be proactive, motivated and team player
In-depth understanding of financial instruments and US GAAP
Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel
Knowledge of SQL is an advantage.
Candidate must be amenable to work in a mid-shift schedule (5pm to 2am)
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Certified Public Accountant
At least two (2) years of external audit experience, preferably from Big Four accounting firms
Relevant work experience in asset management industry is an advantage
Knowledge of U.S. taxation of hedge funds is an advantage.
