Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience in preparing tax returns and workpapers, and state and federal tax analysis. This role involves preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, conducting tax research, and providing tax support to the clients.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review individual, corporate and partnership tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
Create tax working papers prior to uploading to the tax software
Work with senior member of the team in tax preparation and analysis
Prepare and review Schedule K-1s and supporting schedules, ensuring accurate reporting of each partner's share of income, deductions, credits, and distributions.
Utilize tax software for tax preparation, filing, and reporting.
Collaborate with the executives with partners to provide efficient service delivery
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to identify tax-saving opportunities and provide proactive tax planning strategies.
Ensure timely submission of tax documents and respond to any inquiries from federal or state tax authorities.
Stay current with changes in tax legislation, particularly California tax laws, and inform clients of relevant updates.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or EA certification is a plus.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in US tax accounting with experience doing taxes on partnerships for US based client
Proficiency in common tax software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Willing to work US hours
