Overview
We'd like to add a highly skilled US Accounting Specialist to our team to support one of our
US based clients with daily operations. Our ideal candidate has a natural passion for math and
eagerness to learn more about financial planning, tax planning, and budgeting. As US Accounting
Specialists you will update and maintain financial records, reconcile bank statements, and manage
our accounting databases. He or she will join like-minded financial experts continually focused on
sharpening their skills and dedicated to growing into financial managers.
Senior/Lead Accountant Duties:
● Oversee and manage day to day office personnel, work allocation and reviewing
output.
● Coordinate data processing received/timing with offshore office
● Prepare and analyze more complex financial statements
● Detailed analysis of general ledger accounts
● Reconcile bank accounts for multiple bank and credit cards;
● Prepare journal entries and supporting documents;
● Invoice and maintain accounts receivable;
● Prepare and maintain detailed schedules of all balance sheet accounts;
● Maintain depreciation and amortization schedules
● Assist with transition of new clients: reconcile all balance sheet accounts,
recreate financials for previous periods when necessary, convert the client's data
from their existing accounting software to QuickBooks/required
Mid-level Accountant Duties:
● Assist with preparation and analysis of financial statements
● Balance sheet reconciliations
● Detailed analysis of general ledger accounts
● Prepare journal entries and supporting documents
● Prepare and maintain detailed schedules of all balance sheet accounts
● Reconcile bank accounts for multiple bank and credit cards
● Maintain depreciation and amortization schedules
● Invoice and maintain accounts receivable
Skills Needed:
● Bachelor in Accountancy/ Accounting related courses
● 2 to 5 yrs experience in US Accounting. Hospitality industry is a plus
● Main Software: QuickBooks
● Desirable software experience: R365, Compeat, CTUIT RADAR
● Must have experience handling/managing team (for the lead role)
● Knows bank reconciliation, general ledger, complex financial statements
● Intermediate Excel skills minimum requirement (xlookup, pivot tables, etc.)
● Shared services experience a plus
