ACCOUNTANT III

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for Accountant III to be part of our team.
He/She is responsible for performance of assigned financial reporting, general accounting, and financial audits for The Client.
He/She will work closely with the Vice President, Controller and others as necessary to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely reporting of financial information.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs assigned functions necessary to complete the monthly close and reporting process for The Client and reviews financial statements to identify potential errors or inconsistencies. Works with appropriate Finance team members and work cross functionally in the resolution of issues before financial statements are finalized.
As Accountant III responsibility for complex operating and month-end functions will be expected. Works with Vice President, Controller and peers to operationalize accepted accounting principles and reporting regulations. Stays current on financial reporting (Statutory and GAAP) and accounting regulations related to assigned functions.
Performs assigned duties in line with The Client general ledger and fixed asset standards.
Completes assigned monthly and year-end accounting procedures and reporting including internal and external financial reporting, external audit preparation and tax return preparation. As Accountant III responsibility complex procedures, schedules, and tax-related functions will be expected. Responsible for recording and tracking of complex and/or heavily regulated transactions as assigned. Ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards and completes efficient and accurate reporting for various internal and external stakeholders.
Supports Accountants I and II as directed by the director/manager in applying complex accounting procedures.
Performs job responsibilities, objectives and standards of performance for financial reporting, accounting, audit, and tax preparation within established policies, processes, and procedures established by Finance Leadership to ensure compliance across the Client.
Completes assigned complex reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory mandates. Acts as a Super User for all assigned financial modules/products in order to direct and/or assist financial reporting team with procedural/process changes within divisions.
Participates and serves on interdepartmental committees and teams as requested by the director/manager.
Supports tasks associated with Financial Reporting team special projects as directed by director/manage
Performs assigned duties to ensure compliance with internal control policies to protect the assets of The Client.
Assigned responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Completion of the month-end statutory reporting, conversion to GAAP accounting, complex reconciliations, audit preparation, complex journal entries, track and record investments.
Processing of financial reporting analysis and board reports.
Understanding and applying statutory accounting principles, GAAP and IRS compliance.
Assist and suggest best accounting practices for the standardization of all lines of business for The Client.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in accounting/finance, healthcare administration, or healthcare related field is required.
Master's degree and/or CPA is preferred
At least 3 years of US accounting experience is required.
Willing to work on a night shift schedule
Willing to work at Tower 1, Rockwell Business Center, Ortigas
