Job Description
The Transportation Specialist is responsible for ensuring a quality customer experience through overseeing / performing daily operations to ensure Commercial and Internal customer orders are filled to meet specific delivery schedules. This role also requires communication and collaboration with multiple departments for customer requirements and feedback, especially for scheduling feeds orders and coordination with production personnel for proper feed production line-up. This position directly reports to the Transportation Supervisor.
Customer Management * Maintains daily monitoring of booked orders, consolidation of orders for production planning.
Informs TBMs / customers on the status of the ordered goods. Advise TBMs / customers if there are unavailable products during the date of pull-out or requested delivery date for their disposition either to wait for the FG to be available, replace with alternative FG, or cancel the order and provide timely status updates on unserved orders and the closest possible schedule these are to be available.
Attends to customer feedback or complaints. Receives feedback, complaints on possible product or logistics quality concerns and forward these to the respective departments for resolution.
Consolidates all orders, both Commercial and Internal (Farms) and reviews inventories with Finished Goods Inventory Analysts to follow up orders made by TBMs / customers for the day's dispatch.
Then coordinates with the Production, QA, and Warehouse Supervisors for the day's dispatch, especially for those advised as priority.
Organizes the efficient distribution and availability of finished goods to all sales areas at the least cost and ensures that goods are available and properly allocated to customers. Works with the TBMs to arrange co-loads to maximize truck use.
Ensures finished goods inventory are at optimum levels. Finished goods on floor must be enough to serve all Commercial, Internal Farms and VisMin requirements.
Performs other job-related duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
Any degree that is strong on planning and cost efficiency (statistics, business-related, etc).
