About the Trading Researcher (Investment Bank, Machine Learning) Role:
In this role, you will apply mathematical and statistical techniques and engineering software to develop, analyse and implement models to produce financial trading signals. The team is mainly focused on Data Science projects, analysing large datasets from diverse sources of data.
Key Responsibilities:
Analysing and implementing academic research and practitioner literature to create and refine investment ideas/strategies
Exploring datasets and/or implementing Machine Learning algorithms to produce or combine signals for profitable trading opportunities
Working closely with our hedge fund partner company to conduct
modelling experiments on existing or newly-produced datasets
Development of internal tools used for research and development
To succeed in this Trading Researcher (Investment Bank, Machine Learning) role, you must have the ability to complete high-level, investment-related research.
Key Requirement:
Strong quantitative abilities - must possess a degree in a quantitative field
Understanding of and ability to implement Machine Learning algorithms, both supervised and unsupervised
Proficiency in developing data related software in Python
Ready to work in BGC office as per schedule
Desirable
Experience with Deep Learning algorithms
Familiarity with or interest in investment products (equities and derivatives), portfolio construction analytics and quantitative portfolio management
Proficiency in source control tools and collaborative development such as Git
Knowledgeable of the different software development tools for Python such as unit testing frameworks, documentation frameworks and related technologies
Capability to design and implement software from scratch using the proper design methodologies
Familiarity with CI/CD technologies to smoothly delivery software releases
