RESPONSIBILITIES
POSITION SUMMARY
The Test Engineer will participate in the agile software development processes for web applications and ensure compliance with COBIT 5 standards and requirements.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Create manual and automated test designs (test suites / automation scripts).
Perform manual and automated tests on feature changes and its related systems.
Report and track defects and make recommendations for the release.
Create a test strategy by using different testing techniques to ensure quality and success of product releases including functional, regression, performance, synthetics testing and system tests.
Closely work with the development engineering team and DevSecOps for identifying opportunities for automation.
Closely work with both the development engineering and product management/LOBs to plan holistic testing and plan product releases.
Constantly look for tools and industry practices that can be applied to the test engineering practice.
Test using one or more open-source automated testing tools (VSTS E2E Automation testing, Selenium, JMeter, Katalon, etc.)
Perform REST API testing using tools such as Postman
Ability to configure testing environments (setting up Windows or Linux VMs, basic database administration, etc.)
Performs other related function as assigned to ensure efficient and effective functioning of work unit
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Background:
College degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science, Information Technology, Technology Management or equivalent.
Work Experience:
At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
At least 1 year experience working on an Agile Scrum environment.
Experience working in a DevOps environment an advantage.
Familiarity with one or more open-source automated testing tools (Automation testing, Selenium, Load Testing)
Familiarity with REST API testing using tools such as Postman
Knowledge of version control systems (like Git, VSTS)
