Your team
As a member of the Avaloq development team, you will be part of a group of highly skilled, motivated and dynamic people that are responsible for a central part of the Avaloq Banking Suite. You will be part of AMS ASSL L3 team that provides the services needed to maintain and support the customization of the Avaloq solution used by banks in the Swiss & UK markets. You will be working in an environment where formal and on-the-job training is a priority, and you will learn a lot.
The Avaloq Banking Suite is one of the largest PL/SQL applications in the world. It is safe to say that your co-workers are among, if not the most knowledgeable Oracle specialists in the world. Development takes place in our integrated development environment - a customized Eclipse platform, which is tightly integrated with a build automation and delivery system, allowing a standardized and automated process to be followed.
Your mission
Analysing customer requirements and issues
Give hands-on support to the team with the implementation of the software testing process, e.g. for dedicated testing levels and / or test types
Define test cases and scenarios for new functionalities
Support the team in their day to day work with test management tools
Act as contact person for software testing related topics and methods, especially for test analysis and test design
Do the planning, control and reporting of project related test campaigns
Participate in the creation of new concepts in testing and testing strategies
Define and operationalize specific procedures for testing
Develop and execute automated tests using Avaloq Test Master
Understand the Avaloq Core Banking Platform and the corresponding business areas
Test support which covers automated testing and, in some cases, manual testing
Provide assistance to business analysts and test teams
Coordinate with counterparts in other teams to ensure end to end processes work
Qualifications
What you need
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
At least 2 years Experience in one or more high level programming language (knowledge of PL/SQL is a plus)
Open-minded, good team player, and has good communication skills (proficient in English verbally and in writing)
Background in developing and maintaining catalogue of behavior driven test cases and test cycles using any test management software
Competent in relational databases (preferably Oracle)
Excellent analytical skills and systematic approach to problem solving
Keen Interest in banking business
You will get extra points for the following:
Banking knowhow is an advantage but not required
Experience in automation tools like Selenium Webdriver API and Selenium Server
Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, JavaScript
Motivation to constantly improve and learn new skills
Experience with Orbium's TestMaster is a big plus
Experience with Avaloq Banking System
Background in other types of testing and automation (performance, stress, penetration testing, scripting, CI/CD, etc.)
