Context of the Role:
The scope of the role is to lead and manage the full Technical agenda for Diageo Philippines Inc. (DPI) covering Innovation and Brand Change, Quality, Governance and the delivery of Technical Solutions.
DPI has relied largely on leveraging support from Global and Regional Technical resources to support the delivery of the market requirements, however, with the recent organisational changes and the long term aspirations and strategy of the market, it is recognised that DPI need to significantly up weight this capability within the market.
Whilst the role will have a strong focus on the Innovation and Brand Change agenda, the other dimension of the Technical agenda that focus on protecting Diageo's and our Brand reputation and improving productivity and driving our costs will be highly important.
In the current economic environment, there are strong pressures on reducing costs and driving improved gross margins whilst maintaining the quality of our products; delivering Technical Solutions to enable this will be important to DPI's success.
The role is both market and supply facing and will require a high degree of communication, engagement and interaction within the Innovation and Marketing teams, the broader Technical community, Supply Centres, 3rd Party Co-packers and Suppliers. This role will be a key member of the DPI Supply Leadership Team.
Purpose of the Role:
To enable the market's growth aspirations through the ownership of the supply execution of the Innovation and Brand Change pipeline ensuring that this effectively managed, tracked and communicated to stakeholders.
To lead the commercialization of all locally produced packaging solutions, working with internal stakeholders and suppliers, to meet the Market and Brand requirements in terms of time, cost and quality.
To ensure that DPI's reputation is protected through the execution of LTO Audit plans, with suppliers and third party operations, and to ensure that actions are in place and executed to address any gaps or risks identified.
To champion Quality for both imported and locally manufactured products. Ensure product quality specifications are met and release criteria are followed prior to distribution to customers/consumers. Ensures that local producers have the right quality processes and systems in place and are meeting their Brand Technical Equity/Food Safety obligations and that relationships are built and maintained with Diageo Supply Centre Quality Teams to ensure the rapid and sustainable resolution to identified quality issues.
To leverage the wider Technical Community in Diageo to get support on the delivery of Technical Solutions to address challenges and opportunities faced by the market.
Ensure regulatory compliance to product registration and licensing requirements, product disposal, and other operating permits that is required in the course of doing our business.
Coordinate Brand protection activities such as counterfeit monitoring and reporting. Liaise with 3rd party agencies and regional Brand security team on required tests and escalation process.

Top Accountabilities
Execution of product commercialization and packaging solutions (specifications, processes, budgets...) to work perfectly at all stages of supply chain and delight our consumers.
Highly effective project management to meet agreed cost, time and quality target timescales and the effective communication and management of progress and expectations with stakeholders.
Driving the development of existing and new supplier's capabilities to meet current and future business needs from a cost, quality and pace perspective and to ensure that suppliers meet and maintain Diageo's LTO's requirements.
Develop and deliver concrete plans to support the consistent delivery of high quality products to our customers and consumers.
Qualifications & Experience Required
Degree or equivalent relevant to subject, preferably technical base.
Proven project management experience and skills and experience in developing and commercializing a wide range packaging solution in particular printed material.
Proven communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
Capable of developing strong relationships with peers and stakeholders.
Experience at building and executing plans and address gaps to deliver results and drive towards the required outcome.
Conversant with risk management practices and techniques.
Excellent in English communication.
