Job Description:
Main Responsibility:
The Middleware Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Application Middleware and related system software and utilities to ensure an effective and efficient system environment.
Responsibilities:
Administer the application middleware and ensure optimal performance to meet the agreed Service Level Agreement
Test, install and upgrade Application Middleware software whenever required following the Change Management Guidelines.
Define procedures, standards, and guidelines with regards to Application Middleware setup and configuration
Test and implement service recovery & disaster prevention procedures for the various Application Middleware and their related tools.
Performs proof of concept and testing of new Middleware versions.
Troubleshoot various problems with Middleware Applications in different stages of development, testing, and production using knowledge of the end-to-end architecture, log files, log analyzer, and monitoring tools.

Qualifications
College/University Degree
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Websphere Application Server.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in IBM MobileFirst Platform Foundation/ IBM Work light Foundation
Minimum of 1 year experience in with Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment
Experience in Installation, Configuration, Deployment, Administration and Production Support of IBM Websphere Application Server, and IBM MobileFirst Platform Foundation/IBM Worklight Foundation in Unix and Windows Environment.
General knowledge of IT infrastructure (networking, servers, databases, cloud and related IT Infrastructure)
Experience in Oracle Weblogic and Microsoft IIS is a plus but not required.
Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS)
Build cloud-based services and solutions based on defined patterns.
