Your job as a Team Lead for the Security Compliance department is to deeply understand the current state of access controls, audit processes, metrics, information architecture and process gaps within the Zendesk access management program and add new business capabilities (such as auto-deprovisioning, automated access reviews, customer audits, and access monitoring). You'll also be responsible for supporting various regulatory audits and compliance processes for all of Zendesk's existing compliance frameworks. One audit at a time! This role reports to the Manager of Security Compliance, and will be a key player in the overall dynamics between the Zendesk Security teams and the Business. Does that sound like you What you get to do every day: Develop a strong partnership across the different Security teams to thoroughly understand the team's business strategy and operational objectives. Manage, coach, and mentor junior team members. Improve business and operational efficiency by developing, automating, and maintaining scalable processes, tools, and dashboards. Be a strong advocate of Security and GRC processes across common control framework, risk register, data integrations, management, and visualizations and be available to mentor the team. Coordinate multitude of end-to-end external audits (SOC2, SOX, ISO, PCI, FedRamp, etc.) which includes audit planning & strategy, remediation and reporting of audit metrics. Ensure we see continued growth and maturity of the various compliance initiatives (access management, change management, vendor security, customer audits, etc.) What you bring to the role: Required Experience Motivated self-starter who works exceptionally well in an unstructured environment with light supervision. A leader who can manage direct reports and also be a great teammate with positive relationship building and phenomenal interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with an ability to translate internal stakeholder needs into both business and technical requirements. A knack for identifying and investigating anomalies in data and coming up with creative solutions. Proven track record in establishing security compliance program from the ground up and a minimum of 3 years experience driving and overseeing end-to-end compliance audits. Preferred Experience BS/BA or equivalent in a quantitative field e.g., math, statistics, engineering, economics, finance, computer science preferred. Previous experience in Security, IT Audit, Access Management, Engineering, or R&D is highly preferred (within the software/SaaS industry an added plus).
