Job Description:
Be a part of a global manufacturing company located in Cebu City as their Tax Specialist.
Responsibilities:
• Analyzes, reviews, interprets and validates the data supplied by the Business Unit and/or Financial Systems for the tax relevant financial, internal and external reporting requirements
• Assist with tax process improvements projects, which may include software implementation, automation, or workpaper improvement and ongoing continuous process improvement;
• Assist in evaluating, implementing and maintaining emerging tax technologies
• Help develop and deliver end user training and maintain user documentation of all trainings in latest technologies
• Maintain tax automation and reporting tools
• Interact with suppliers in a courteous and responsible manner, including determining appropriate occasions to reach out to Operating Company Procurement personnel for guidance in managing supplier relationships
• Recommend supplier data maintenance changes as identified during the processes
• Maintain productivity and meet service level agreements in a complex environment, including working with and referencing data in taxation systems
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Financial Information Systems
• 3-4 years corporate accounting and/or financial analysis experience; manufacturing experience a plus
• Proficient use of MS Office (expert in Excel) required, and knowledge of VBA a plus
• Understanding of accounting processes coupled with financial systems knowledge preferred
Amenable to work in Cebu I.T. Park (Mid&Night schedule)
