Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures compliance with local tax regulations thru accurate preparation and timely submission of returns (monthly, quarterly, and annual) and payment of taxes due.
Ensures timely and accurate tax recording and reporting following local SAP.
Ensures accurate tax computation and timely filing and payment of all monthly, quarterly tax returns and alpha lists.
Acts as primary contact for the Company and make representations during Government tax audits.
Liaises with the external auditor for tax-related matters during the annual audit.
Reviews the local and national tax laws.
Introduce best practices to make processes more efficient and facilitate accurate reporting of the tax position of the Company.
Assists in all tax matters and resolves tax-related issues that may arise from time to time.
Formulate policies that will help in achieving the internal control objectives of the Company.
Facilitate remediation of audit findings from internal and external audits.
Qualifications:
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Minimum of 5 years of tax experience.
Experience in Logistics industry is an advantage.
Excellent knowledge of Local Taxes (Corporate Tax, VAT, Final Taxes, MST, FBT, Income Tax, amongst others including the filling of returns and forms), Business Permit filings, SEC Filings and Philippines Accounting standards.
Experience in dealing with BIR audit
Proficient in MS Excel and good knowledge of SAP or any Accounting System is an advantage
