Position Summary:
The Tax Associate reports to the Tax Manager, works closely with members of the team and with other business units for BIR assessment transactions. The position is responsible for completing the documentary requirements, reconciliation and coordination to be done with the business units (BU) with regards to BIR assessments. The position will also act as liaison officer on matters concerning BIR assessments, as necessary.
Primary Responsibilities
Communicate and coordinate with the respective business units for BIR assessments received particular to the BU
Complete, review, compile and prepare transmittal document for all documentary requirements for BIR assessments
Coordinate and help in reconciliation of BIR findings with regard to BIR assessments
Updating of LOA monitoring and LOA docket files both soft and hard copies
Stay updated with current tax laws and regulations including circulars, memorandum, issuances and other related releases.
Admin tasks for the team such as filing, supplies requisition, archiving and the like.
Special projects, as necessary
Qualifications:
Must be Bachelor's Degree Graduate, preferably Accountancy or Management Accounting
CPA is not required but it would be an advantage
Minimum of 2+years' experience in tax preparation
Minimum of 1+ year experience in accounting transactions preferably General Accounting
Excellent knowledge on tax laws and regulations
Excellent knowledge on accounting process, standards, and financial reports
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely
Prior experience in BIR assessments will be an added advantage
Strong reconciliation and analysis skills
Must be both a team and individual player and be willing to work over-time (including weekends) when necessary
Ability to prioritize nd multi-task
Meticulous attention to detail. Must be thorough and accurate
Ability to meet tight deadlines, manage time effectively and work under pressure with accuracy and urgency
Responsive to the needs of the team
Willing to work on-site in Bagumbayan, Quezon City
