IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
Oversee the daily operations of the Tax, Compliance, and Accounts Payable operations including month and year-end closing processes
Lead the corporate tax function such as addressing notices, reviewing tax calculations and tax filing to ensure compliance with all local government and national tax laws and regulations.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and governance program requirements
Lead the Finance team in meeting the target success rate of Value Added Tax (VAT) Refund
Oversee coordination with tax authorities and external tax auditors during tax audits and compliance reviews
Monitor tax legislations, regulations and judicial activities. Conduct tax research and publish technical memorandums to the corporate and business leaders
Closely collaborate with Corporate and Business leaders to understand opportunities, drive objectives, highlight and address risks from a tax and compliance perspective
Provide tax, compliance, and analytical support to the Finance Director and General Manager on the development and execution of Manila strategies.
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy - required
Certified Public Accountant - preferred, but not required
Master's in business administration - preferred, but not required
10-12 years of Tax and Compliance, General Accounting and Finance experience, 5 of which should be focused in Tax and Statutory Reporting; at least 6 years in a leadership capacity
Experience in Tax audits and Value added Tax refund - required
Experience in Auditing firm - an advantage
Strong data analysis, presentation, and communication skills required
Strong planning abilities, problem solving and computing skills
