The Tax Analyst will assist and participate in: (1) providing tax operations, advisory, compliance, audits and other related tax services to Sun Life Philippines entities; (2) managing consultants (e.g., for vendor accreditation, consulting engagements), external parties and regulators, as may be needed; and (3) the organization of Tax Management files and documents.

Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting/Finance
Certified Public Accountant or other relevant tax credentials required
At least 1 to 2-years' experience in handling tax audits and consultancy work gained in professional firms
Relevant work experience in the life insurance and mutual fund industry an advantage
Responsibilities
Tax Operations & Advisory
Assist in the review of tax calculations, returns and supports prepared by Financial Accounting & Reporting teams.
Assist in day-to-day tax inquiries of Business Units.
Coordinate across different Business Units on various tax matters and transactions,
Tax Compliance
Provide tax updates/alerts to financial reporting and other relevant business units
Participate in tax compliance reviews
Tax Audits, Assessments and External Relationships
Work with internal stakeholders on regulatory audits, including the preparation of analyses and reconciliations
Draft response to regulatory requests/inquiries
Follow-ups with the regulator on pending requests
Tax Initiatives
Participate in the process documentation / improvements.
Assist in tax savings and optimization projects
Administrative Functions
Organize, maintain filing/monitoring of all tax documents, in soft and hard copies (if required), including arranging the Tax Management filing cabinet, shared folder and SharePoint documents.
Proofread / finalize papers for submission to BIR/regulatory agency and coordination with the liaison officer
Manage Tax Management inbox and coordinate with the relevant tax team members
Assist the team on company-required administrative requirements such as BCP, request of supplies, processing of disbursement requests for expenses; TPRM
