Roles and Responsibilities:
Ø Prepare and distribute BIR Form 2307 to Vendors and Customer-Vendors
Ø Ensure correctness and completeness of received BIR Form 2307 from Customers
Ø Prepare and Validate all tax returns and attachments on a timely manner
Ø Ensure BIR deadlines on filing and payments are met
Ø Prepare and submit books of accounts and other BIR periodic requirements
Ø Assist in providing the documents and files needed for audits (internal, external, BIR, BOC audits)
Ø Monitor BIR correspondences and ensure timely response or communication within respective timelines
Ø Ensure that management is updated for any letters/correspondences received from the tax authorities
Ø Assist in compliance with improvement initiatives, such as tax health checks, internal assessments and tax initiatives
Ø Ensure that proper tax types and rates are applied. Request for VM updates for any change in tax codes or rates, with the approval of Finance Manager
Ø Address simple consultations/queries raised by internal team and external parties (vendors, customers)
Ø Ensure proper archiving and retention of all tax files within the prescribed period
Ø Prepare annual payment calendar as per instruction of Finance Manager. Ensure that tax payment due dates are considered and aligned with the payment runs of Treasury
Ø Review all collected official receipts for compliance with BIR regulations
Ø Ensure completeness of collected Customs documents such as SSDT, SAD, and Assessment and reconcile taxes on importation (i.e. SAP, Citibank vs SSDT and BOC docs).
Ø Monitor that BOC documents are submitted to LPI within the agreed timeline. Raise any issues noted to Finance Manager
Ø Store/monitor contracts in Vault.
Ø Coordinate annual permit requirements and ensure that fees are paid on time.
Qualifications:
Ø Preferably a graduate of BS Accountancy
Ø At least 2 years relevant working experience (Taxation)
Ø Can start ASAP
Ø Willing to work in Ortigas
