SUMMARY:
The Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the IT Infrastructure and Helpdesk Service team. Main responsibilities include managing and maintaining the server, storage, computer, and network infrastructure. This role manages performance, reliability, capacity, and security to ensure robust and secure systems Additionally, the Systems Administrator is responsible for defining routine processes for server, storage, and backup operations, including patching and recovery. Reporting to the regional/country IT manager.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages Pontoon Incidents and Requests from the ticketing system
Manages all server, storage, and networking devices within Infrastructure and leverage monitoring solutions to proactively ensure reliable, high-performance delivery of systems services
Collaborates with Pontoon and Adecco IT internal team members on technical infrastructure projects
Operates backup and restoration capability to protect information assets and ensure business continuity and disaster recovery
Maintains device replacement life cycle upgrades, patches as needed for security and support
Partners with regional/global Adecco IT teams to support tech initiatives
Provides support for enterprise security incidents, including off-hour and weekend support as needed
Develops, trains, and provides work direction for Helpdesk and Jr. Systems Administrators
Possesses drive and interest in implementing best-practices for cloud-first strategies
Assists the IT manager to define and develop documented policies, procedures, and processes
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or a related field.
Has minimum of 5 years' experience in Information Technology field
Has ITIL V3 or V4 certification
Has exposure in using ServiceNow, Service Cloud (Salesforce) ticketing
Has experience with IT audits (SOC2, etc)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Strong organization and prioritization skills
Ability to make decisions independently, or escalate when applicable
Ability to establish and foster effective cross functional relationships
Ability to support and mentor a team of service/helpdesk
Desire to produce automation, redundant, and secure systems
Highly proficient in Windows implementation, management, and troubleshooting (Active Directory, MS Exchange)
Highly proficient in MS Stacks, Office 365, and AD administration, including MFA and SSO
Proficient in Windows Server Application Support, including File Serving, IIS, SQL Server, DNS, DHCP, and more
Proficient in desktop engineering including endpoint security (anti-virus / malware protection) and deployment automation
Proficient in Network management using Cisco Meraki Networking. Proficient in Palo Alto Networks Firewall configuration
Proficient in Phone System Management and VoIP solutions
Knowledgeable in Azure, O365 SharePoint
Knowledgeable in PowerShell Scripting and automation
Familiar with logging and monitoring platforms
