Summary
The MS patching, AD, and Certificate Support Services is a key role responsible for continuing operations and maintenance of key systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Microsoft Server Patching
Analyst will be working as a part of DexCom's IT Patching team to deploy Windows servers patches
Follow process to ensure all servers are getting patched correctly and on time
Co-ordination with System Owners & relevant stake owners
Troubleshooting configuration & patch deployments whenever required
Work with Server contacts closely to resolve patching related issues
Execute automatic patching on Servers for security updates, software, and critical updates as per DexCom set procedures
Track baseline compliance/non-compliance on monthly basis
Research on updates and service packs release by Microsoft for various platforms.
Work closely with Server team and attend weekly calls/meetings to resolve issues, concerns on a day-to-day basis.
Remediate issues impacting setting of desired state
Testing the patches / Upgrade in testing environment
Roll back patches as per procedures
Ensure policies and procedures are documented and stored in a central repository.
Certificate Management
Reviewing, renewing & removing Certificates
Generating Certificates based on Request
Submitting certificate request to 3rd Party authorities
Revoking Certificates based on request
Creating and installing certificates (Installation would need support from Application owners or vendors
Managing inventory list for 3rd Party certificates & the mapped applications
Experience and Education
Typically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience.
