Position Responsibilities
Develop a strong understanding of current end to end BI/EDW architecture to support deployed solutions
Gather data and analytics requirements from business partners, application team and other solution/domain architects and identify the appropriate architectural solutions.
Work with internal business analysts to understand business requirements and translate to technical qualifications and data warehouse solutions
Develop, design, test, and modify EDW/ETL/Stored Procedures and SQL to support critical business needs
Ensure that EDW solutions adhere to best practices, standards, guidelines and maintain consistency across all data flows, data mappings and technical architecture. Develop and promote data architecture standards, guidelines, procedures and repeatable and scalable frameworks. Contribute to advancing data and analytics architectures and design guidelines.
Create technical documentation as required throughout project lifecycle
Under Team Lead's guidance, use internal IT help desk ticketing system to monitor intake items, prioritize, work on, and close out assigned support tickets
Qualifications
Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
7+ years' experience working with Dimensional Data Models, ideally using Kimball's Data Warehouse Lifecycle
5+ years' experience working with Microsoft SQL Server Information Services (SSIS)
5+ years' experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and writing SQL
Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Self-starter with ability to work independently
Ability to quickly learn new products and technologies
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related technical field
Highly proficient in written and spoken English
Experience in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle is a plus
Willing to work on a mid-shift schedule
Ideally the candidate will have working knowledge of IBM CastIron
Ideally the candidate will have working knowledge of reporting tools, such as Cognos Analytics, QlikView, Qlik Sense, or IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)
