Job Summary:
System Analyst (Developer) is responsible for the upkeep and development of centralized data warehouse and BI tools throughout the organization. He/she will design new IT solutions, modify, enhance or adapt existing systems and integrate new features or improvements in order to improve business efficiency and productivity. The role combines hard skills like programming, data modeling and statistics with soft skills like communication, analytical thinking and problem-solving.
Duties and Responsibilities:
System Development:
Designing, maintaining and upgrading existing systems and framework as required for both technical and business suitability.
Create tools to store data.
Work closely with IT group, business unit heads and end users to ensure technical compatibility and needs.
Creating system guidelines and manuals for the organization.
Keep up to date with technical and system developments.
Data Visualization:
Develop intuitive and attractive static and interactive data visualizations using primarily Microsoft Excel and Power BI platform.
Create dashboard and reports as needed using other platforms and tools as needed by the project.
Data Analysis:
Work with the Business Intelligence Manager and other business unit heads to deliver on opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
Maintain and support data analytics platforms.
Filter and "clean" data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Computer Science/Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
Computer Skills: Broad knowledge of hardware, software and programming (preferably MS excel, Power BI, Visual Basic and SQL)
Communication to collaborate with colleagues, managers and executives.
Problem-solving skills to find multiple viable solutions for a challenge.
Analytical skills to process large amounts of data.
Methodical, investigative and inquisitive mind and attention to detail.
Critical thinking to determine what data and information is useful for the task.
Creativity, must be able to continually generate new ideas.
Applicant must be willing to work onsite (BGC, Taguig Office).
