Position Overview:
The Cloud System Administrator is part of a team providing a full range of cloud software engineering services, cloud application support services, system administration, cyber security services, cloud technical services, and supporting software to develop, field, maintain, secure, and Information Architecture.
We are investing on the training of our team, leveraging online platform like Udemy where you have unlimited free access. We are also financing AWS certifications.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Experience working in and advocating for agile environments.
Provisioning and de-provisioning cloud accounts for internal customers.
Working alongside the cloud software engineers and tenant application development teams to support transition and operation of client web sites/applications in and out of the system.
Deploying, managing, and operating the cloud environments.
Identifying appropriate use of cloud operational best practices.
Estimating cloud costs and identifying operational cost control mechanisms.
Keeping technical documentation up to date.
Creating (where appropriate) automation, to streamline provisioning and de-provisioning processes.
Leading certain data/service migration projects.
Performing software upgrades, kernel patching, and errata patches.
Managing disaster recovery and create backups.
Performing periodic security and vulnerability scans on the system at the direction of the Information Systems Security Officer or System Owner.
Monitoring the availability of system resources and measure the extent of performance.
Experience managing MySQL or similar databases on RDS.
Maintains data dictionary by revising and entering definitions.
Determines changes in physical database by studying project requirements; identifying database characteristics, such as location, amount of space, and access method.
Changes database system by coding database descriptions.
Maintains user reference by writing and rewriting database descriptions.
Qualifications
Education, Professional Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc)
Can consider Fresh Graduates (must know basic coding and is willing to learn and be trained)
Knowledge in Linux administration
Basic coding skills is a must (any language is okay)
Designing, developing, evaluating, and modifying systems-oriented products.
Supporting and developing software applications/operating systems.
Participating in the testing process through test execution, test script development, test review, and analysis.
Certified AWS SysOps Administrator a plus.
Database Certification is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
Strong interest in coaching and mentoring team members.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, time management and follow-up skills.
Ability to identify, prioritize and execute tasks to meet project deadline.
Strong team player and ability to influence and motivate team members.
Working Conditions and Environment:
Must be amenable to work on midshift schedule (2pm-11pm)
