Responsibilities:
Undertake IES thermal modelling for the sustainability team relating to:
Part L Compliance
Energy Performance Certificates
CIBSE Heating & Cooling Loads
Thermal Comfort & Daylighting Assessment
Willing to support wide ranging sustainability appointments under the RIBA Green overlay framework .
Issuing of RFIs, reports, calculations, technical reports, presentations, method statements and action lists.
Carry out independent reading and research to support the sustainability team on specialist topics.
Assisting with BREEAM/LEED/WELL/NABERS/RIBA Green overlay related bid and tender preparation and co-ordination.
Flexibility to assist our engineers in meeting business/project deadlines.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of Engineering/Environment discipline.
Good technical knowledge of sustainability in the built environment
An interest in & knowledge on the IES modelling required for: LEED, WELL, BREEAM, NABERs, EPC ratings, planning applications etc.
Up to Minimum 4 years' experience delivering IES models
Qualified Low Carbon Energy Assessor (LCEA) (desirable).
Knowledge of SAP (desirable).
IES software model geometry building, HVAC systems and model outputs.
General understanding of Building Services design and engineering terms.
High quality report writing skills
