What role will you play as a member of the Colgate Palmolive's Customer Service & Logistics Team?
This position is accountable for supply planning of the category assigned. The Supply Planning Specialist will be responsible for establishing uninterrupted supply and optimal inventory of finished goods to ensure that customer and business requirements are met at optimized cost
Main Responsibilities
Manages stock availability to meet customer requirements while maintaining optimum inventory levels across all distribution centers
Leads project management of new local copack skus and/ or packaging transitions , calls out deviations vs target timelines and works with cross functional team on optimizing the timelines
Coordinates with supply planning specialist for imported goods on availability of finished goods components
Generates purchase orders for packaging materials based on target inventory levels
Maintains optimal levels of packaging materials and minimize, if not eliminate scrapping and slow moving inventories for transitions and discontinuation
Generates purchase orders on bundling requirements , set targets for completion and works with copack service providers on prioritization
Works with service providers to ensure that locally copack skus adhere to quality requirements
Leads process improvement and cost optimization initiatives with purchasing and marketing team
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering course or equivalent courses
At least 3 years experience in Demand and/or Supply Chain Management
At least 1-2 years of project management experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
High level of numeracy and attention to detail
Able to plan, prioritize and flexible to changes
Collaborative, customer oriented and proactive
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in SAP APO (or other similar systems) is a plus
Similar experience in local copacking or packaging operations
Intermediate to advanced Google sheet skills
With technical knowledge on packaging engineering / specifications
