Job Overview
 
The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for managing procurement, inventory planning, supplier coordination, and logistics activities to ensure the continuous availability of materials required for business operations. This role plays a critical part in optimizing inventory levels, controlling procurement costs, forecasting material requirements, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to support production schedules and project timelines.
 
Key Responsibilities
Manage procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing, and monitoring the timely delivery of materials and supplies.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding quotations, purchase orders, pricing, delivery schedules, and contract agreements.
Forecast inventory requirements and maintain optimal stock levels to prevent shortages and overstocking.
Monitor incoming shipments and ensure materials are delivered according to production and project schedules.
Analyze inventory trends, procurement data, and supply chain performance to support operational decision-making.
Evaluate supplier performance and identify alternative suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and competitive pricing.
Collaborate with Production Planning, Project Management, Warehouse, Finance, and Logistics teams to support operational efficiency.
Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality, reliability, and timely delivery of materials.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and supply chain procedures.
Resolve supply chain issues by implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate with Project Managers to forecast material and parts requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Maintain accurate procurement records, inventory reports, and supplier documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or any related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Inventory Management, or Warehouse Operations.
Experience in sourcing, supplier negotiations, purchasing, and inventory control is highly preferred.
Experience in manufacturing or industrial operations is an advantage.
Required Skills
Strong analytical, planning, and decision-making skills.
Excellent knowledge of procurement and inventory management processes.
Ability to perform cost analysis and make cost-effective purchasing decisions.
Proficient in forecasting inventory requirements and material planning.
Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
Physical Requirements
Primarily office-based with regular visits to warehouse and production areas.
Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally lift items weighing up to 15-20 kilograms.
Capable of working under time-sensitive procurement and project deadlines.
Work Environment

Frequent coordination with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal departments.
May require extended working hours during urgent procurement activities, shipment schedules, or critical project deadlines.
