Main Job Purpose
As a Finance Business Partner, the primary purpose of this role is to:
Support the development of the long term strategic framework for SC manufacturing notably the site Masterplan
Identify major risks and opportunities in delivery of the strategy
Undertake major performance interventions if needed to drive improvement in waste, cost, investment and working capital performance to close gaps to ambition
Provide business partnering to procurement on local suppliers as required by the strategy
Where needed, support the Finance Exellence team on in-year performance
to influence at the key decision gates of innovation business cases, capital proposals, sourcing studies and restructuring programmes
Drive better decision making around resource allocation and budget setting
Make decisions around significant adjustments to carry into the financial forecast
Main Accountabilities
Masterplan and Restructuring Projects
Create the restructuring business case for masterplan projects with the requirements as defined by the restructuring cost policy of Unilever
Provide financial guidance to the masterplan team on the following activities
Identifying best possible option for all workstreams from a financial perspective
Identifying savings opportunities to further improve the business case of the project
Ensuring compliance on charging of costs against the restructuring budget
Support the on-time delivery of the project, through proactive risk assessment (and identification of mitigating actions)
Management of costs and savings once restructuring proposal has been approved
Lead post launch evaluation of masterplan/restructuring rojects
Controlling and expertise
Monthly reporting of all costs and savings forecast for all supply chain restructuring projects
Provide expertise and guidance on restructuring projects, i.e. to define what will qualify as restructuring costs/savings (in line with Unilever's restructuring policy)
Qualification & Skills
Experience with the identification of risks and opportunities in SC costs
Experience in driving P&L performance improvements (e.g. closing gaps vs. target) and holding others accountable (particularly peers and senior leadership)
Experience in presenting to an communicating with senior Finance and non-Finance stakeholders
Finance Business Partnering with Supply Chain Finance experience preferred
Project management experience gained through delivery of value interventions etc.
