- Substrates Supplier Quality and Reliability Engineer within the GSC Quality and Reliability Group (Global Supply Chain) responsible for driving and managing quality activities and programs at the substrates suppliers to meet Intel's expectations. - Responsibility includes quality and process control monitoring, quality systems deployment and improvements as well as leading supplier audits and managing change control, process control systems, disposition of nonconforming products. - Various substrates supplier quality challenges will need to be resolved with effective risk assessments, material disposition, diligent root cause analysis, and systemic corrective action implementation. - The candidate will work closely with various engineering teams and substrates suppliers and should be able to successfully influence stakeholders in the materials ecosystem.
Qualifications
- BS, MS, or PhD degree in a related engineering or physical sciences discipline required or relevant extensive work experiences. - The candidate should be knowledgeable about the chemical/ physical/ mechanical/ dimensional properties, behaviors, and characteristics of materials. - The candidate should have working knowledge/experience with business processes used in quality and reliability, quality audits, process control, change control, excursion management, etc. - Desirable to be familiar with the technology development methodology and statistical concepts. - The candidate should be able to work independently in a highly matrixed structure, and have excellent listening, written and verbal communications skills. - Travel to supplier sites is required, as well as participation in meetings with global partners in the USA and Asia.
