JOB SUMMARY : Renders nursing care to patients with an assigned unit the nursing process, a) Assess the patients conditions with IPPA, arrives at a nursing diagnosis, b) planning course of nursing actions, implements independent and dependent nursing actions within established standards of care and legalities of nursing, c) evaluating effectiveness of nursing care, d) modifies nursing care if necessary to meet objectives of care.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Assesses nursing care needs an problems of her patient at the start of her duty:
a) Collecting data from the patient and family
b) Observing and inspecting patient
c) Reviewing the clinical records, knowing the medical diagnosis.
d) Positively seeking from the physician and other personnel caring for the patient.
2. Creates plans of care with establish standards of care for assigned group of patients. Coordinates with the medical care plan with the nursing care plan, interpreting doctors' order to appropriate nursing measures. Solicit patients' cooperation in planning and implementing plan of care.
3. Gives nursing care to patients:
a) Takes the patients vital sign
b) Gives AM care, oral / perennial care, or bed bath as the case may be
c) Performs therapeutic measures prescribed and delegated by the Doctor
d) Administers medications as ordered by the Doctors
4. Makes rounds alone, and with physicians, plans patient care with Doctor and the patients' needs and problems to the Senior Nurses or the Doctor as necessary.
5. Listens to, evaluates, and acts on needs, problems, and suggestions of patients, visitors, Doctors and others. Evaluates effectiveness of care plan. Comfort and safety of nursing care and procedures performed for her patient.
6. Records patients' needs and problems and nursing care, supportive measures, procedures done and equipment used, and patients' reactions / results of the procedure according to the actual time. Checks own documentation for completeness, pertinence, evidence of care given and records of patients' progress.
7. Gives brief report to the Senior Nurses at end of the shift for continuity of patient care.
8. Conducts health teaching /instructions to patients as the case maybe.
9. Holds self responsible for hospital, department, and unit policies and practices directly related to patients being cared for.
10. Helps create a climate of high morale in the unit through cooperation and support to peers and colleagues.
11. Promotes and maintain good interpersonal relationships with the medical staff and personnel of other departments, patients, and the public.
12. Participates in studies and research program conducted in the nursing unit. Participates in intra- and inter-department activities designed to improve the services of the hospital.
13. Interprets philosophy, objectives and policies of the hospital to patients and family, hospital personnel and the community.
14. Does other task that may be assigned from time to time.
15. Encoding of medicines and supplies needed by the patient.
16. Undertakes the 5S in the workplace.
17. Undertakes the following Safety standards:
a. Works in accordance with accepted safety practices and standards established by the employer in compliance with the provisions of this Standards.
b. Reports unsafe conditions and practices to the supervisor by making suggestions for correction or removal of accidental hazards.
c. Cooperates actively with the Health and Safety Committee.
d. Assist government agencies in the conduct of health and safety inspection or other.

Minimum education level: Bachelor ́s Degree
1 year of experience
