I. OVERVIEW/ GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Staff Accountant is responsible primarily in treasury, taxation and general accounting.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
TREASURY
Prepare cash Requirement report
Preapre Check / online payment
Coordinate with Supplier for payment
Release payment and BIR 2307 to Supplier
Process settlement of AD HOC payments such as final pay, employee advances and government taxes
Posting of payments
Update FX rate
FINANCIAL REPORTING
Preparation of journal entries for both P&L and Balance sheet accounts by compiling, calculating, verifying and analyzing account information to ensure financial data is accurate and timely
Record details of business transactions such as cash and cash equivalents, fixed assets, taxes and prepayments transactions
Prepares journal entries for month-end closing of accounts such as amortization, depreciation and adjustments
Assists with the resolution of any accounting discrepancies and irregularities
Preparation of month end Balance sheet account reconciliation report
AUDIT
Assist on the preparation of Financial Statement by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information and trends
Prepares schedules requested by external auditors pertaining to Treasury and Taxes
Provides assustance during audit fieldwork
TAX
File and pay government taxes
Submit documents and reports to government agencies
Prepares Alphalist data entry for Quarterly and Annual Expanded tax returns
Prepares Quarterly Sales and Purchases report for VAT returns
Prepare the necessary documents and reports for BIR LOA
Prepare PEZA, SEC and BIR reportorial requirements
Handle registration of new accounting system to BIR
Distributes Income Tax Return (BIR 2316)
III. QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
3 to 5 year(s) of working experience in Treasury and Taxation or related field is required for this position.
Willing to work mid shift schedule.
Willing to work in Mandaluyong City. (We are currently on work from home but may return to work based on management directions, position requires reporting onsite based on work demands as deemed necessary)
