Job Descriptions
Fully understand project scope, schedule, budget and deliverables.
Develop design criteria, specifications and concept design.
Recommend criteria or codes that will be used in designing in the event the client / customer did not specify a preferred criteria or code to be used.
Check and validate calculations, design concept and design criteria used by the Civil Engineer and other design staff.
Develop and coordinate preliminary design with drafting.
Check and review design drawing, and/or design calculations including shop drawing.
Develop and coordinate final design and detailing with drafting.
Ensure that design verification has been made prior to the release of the design document to the client.
Assist in the preparation of bid proposals.
Initiate preparation of change orders.
Identify and recommend licensed software necessary for the execution of the design work.
Monitor progress of all design works to ensure conformance to project schedule and budget.
Attend to Request for Approval (RFA) or Request for Information (RFI).Supervise staff, which includes work allocation, training and problem resolution, performance evaluation and recommendation for personnel actions, and motivation of employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties that may be assigned.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Minimum 10 years of professional related experience in structural design
PRC license if and when applicable
Effective Project management and Business Development skills.
Technical writing and presentation skills.
Ability to implement the execution of the Project Delivery Framework / Quality System.
Knowledge of structural design of horizontal structures and bridges.
Computer literacy and knowledge of the use of design software such as Space Gas, ETABS, STAAD and STRAND.
Knowledge of local and international structural codes and standards.
