Functional Description:
Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software. Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, create, execute, and maintain automated test cases to support business needs.
Provide expertise in designing and creating manual test cases to support business needs.
Review product specifications, software requirements, and software design specifications.
Update test cases as per requirement/design changes.
Work in close collaboration with developers and other test engineers to produce high quality product.
Create requirements traceability matrices which demonstrate test coverage of all features.
Write test reports documenting detailed results of validation, and report test progress to management.
Provide in-depth knowledge and consultation to users in the area of expertise.
Ensure compliance with existing regulations, Sarbanes-Oxley, FDA, HIPAA, and GDPR
Communicate laterally and engage others across the organization.
Required Qualifications:
Understanding of good software development and testing practices.
Experience with automated testing tools and practices
Willingness to work with others in different time zones
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Tricentis Tosca Automated testing tool
Experience with ValGenesis validation management system
Experience and Education Requirements:
Travel Required:
Up to 25%
Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
