Summary/Objective:
Write advertising copy for use by publication or broadcast media to promote sale of goods and services. this role will join a creative team that supports the digital and print marketing efforts of the company and our IT channel clients (managed service providers, value-added resellers, cloud service providers, vendors and partner companies in the high-tech B2B space).
Essential Functions:
Write to customers in their terms and on their level so that the advertiser's sales message is more readily received.
Present drafts and ideas to and for clients.
Vary language and tone of messages based on product and medium.
Consult with sales and marketing representatives to obtain information on product or service and discuss style and length of copy.
Edit or rewrite existing copy as necessary, and submit copy for approval by supervisor.
Develop advertising campaigns for a wide range of clients, working with an advertising agency's creative director and art director to determine the best way to present advertising information.
Write articles, bulletins, sales letters, speeches, and other related informative, marketing and promotional material.
Proof and create marketing content including:
Websites
Landing pages
Emails
Newsletters
Webinars
Infographics
eGuides
Press releases
Presentations
Social media
Traditional print marketing
Research and create thought leadership campaigns/pieces within the IT and high technology industries
Work with the digital team to incorporate SEO best practices in content
Work with the design team to synch content with layout
Assist with training and development of junior Content Creators
Performs other duties as assigned.
A Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or a related field or equivalent professional experience
8+ years' experience as a B2B marketing copywriter and editor
Experience in developing content and articulating concepts for marketing/creative briefs.
Comfortable familiarity with AP style
Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail
Professional communication skills for email, phone and in-person meetings - both internal and with external clients
A diverse portfolio including examples across platforms and mediums
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with aptitude in conducting interviews.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required including proper use of grammar and spelling
Preferred Education and Experience:
Hands-on experience with WordPress
SEO experience
Experience writing for hardware, software, cybersecurity, cloud, database or IT solutions
Mid-Senior Level / Manager Writing and Content Business Process Outsourcing 1 opening Bachelor's degree graduate
