The Senior Analyst - Asia Pacific (APAC) is responsible for ensuring accurate and complete accounting records for Cielo APAC entities, including Philippines, Hong Kong, and Singapore, ensuring the monthly financial statement close is completed timely and assisting in other monthly activities, such as payroll, supplier payments, and local tax reporting and documentation requirements. An important member of the Cielo Finance department, this position will work closely with other members of the global team, internal departments, and third-party firms to develop consistent, scalable, and sustainable processes that meet the needs of our fast-growing organization.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily accounting activities required to maintain the Company's books and records in country
Assist with month-end close, including preparation of journal entries, review of account balances and sign-off that the month-end income statement and balance sheet accounts are reasonable for each legal entity
Ensure all accounting transactions are booked accurately, completely, and timely in accordance with professional codes of practice, U.S. and local accounting standards and service level agreements
Perform monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts, including intercompany and prepare and record intercompany debit and credit notes
Reconcile and adjust US GAAP financial statements to local GAAP for reporting purposes
Reconcile monthly tax reports to the ledger for submission to government entities
Assist with financial statement audits as needed
Maintain organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions
Responsible for compliance functions of the Accounts Payable department, ensure proper oversight and internal controls on timely and accurate disbursements/electronic payments
Update and maintain all necessary documentation needed related to intercompany contracts and settlements
Work with business units, global finance organization and global tax teams to file country specific tax filings
Comply with local financial, legal and tax requirements by studying existing and new legislations, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed action.
Support management in completing special projects and other assignments as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Experience:
Five years of relevant experience
Experience in a service company, preferably employment staffing or recruiting
Strong ability to partner / collaborate with local business leaders
Strong communication and project management skills
Education:
College degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field is strongly preferred
