We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable, general ledger, and financial analysis. In addition, you will be expected to provide support for tax compliance, reporting, and internal control processes. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare month-end accounting book closing for Philippine entities, following Group requirements.
Lead the annual audit process for Philippine entities, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
Perform analysis on actual spending versus budget and provide management analysis as requested by the local Finance team.
Collaborate with project and local teams to discuss budget requirements for Philippine entities.
Manage end-to-end accounts payable function, including vendor setup, invoice processing, payment proposals, and electronic funds transfers.
Assist with the processing of monthly expense and credit card claims.
Update and maintain local accounts payable process documents and manuals.
Address queries from suppliers regarding payment and invoices.
Conduct vendor statement reconciliations and perform other recurring tasks.
Assist in month-end closing procedures for accounts payable.
Work closely with the tax team for periodic tax compliance, reporting, and filings.
Prepare detailed analysis of specific accounts as required.
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of internal controls, processes, and financial systems, ensuring compliance with Mainstream global processes and controls.
Provide assistance during finance system upgrades and implementations.
Handle other ad-hoc tasks as per business requirements.
Job Requirements:
A high-caliber qualified ACCA (preferred) or equivalent qualification.
Proficiency in English, both in communication and writing.
Third-level qualification in Business or Accounting.
A confident self-starter with the ability to take initiative, multitask, and meet challenging deadlines.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work on a broad range of projects.
Experience with Dynamics365 is an advantage.
3 to 5 years of experience in accounts payable, payment processing, and general ledger functions.
Familiarity with Philippine tax requirements and standards.
Experience working with other countries is a plus.
Positive can-do attitude and a high level of teamwork spirit.
