POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for maintaining pool of qualified partners (suppliers and subcontractors) needed nationwide to support requirements of the end-users, which includes tasks that are not limited to; evaluating capabilities of the potential partners including financial, performance and legitimacy of the business. This also includes keeping updated record of active partners for department's reference.
ORGANIZATIONAL SETTING:
Reports to Purchasing Manager, Supply Chain Head and/or VP-CFO
Coordinates with personnel of requesting department, and other purchasing staffs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs sourcing of suppliers and service providers which will provide best quality products and services, best price, and favorable contract terms.
Conducts supplier accreditation which includes supplier background check, plant visit, and coordinate with buyers regarding performance and compliance.
Evaluates Supplier Accreditation documents if qualified to be FMIDC's partner which will ultimately provide quality consistency and cost efficiency.
Ensures accreditation documents are valid and updated.
Updates the Masterfile of Vendors.
Ensures compliance to Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
Maintains good records and controls which provide an audit trail and assure efficiency and honesty.
Works cross functionally with requesting departments and achieve high degree of cooperation and coordination.
Communicates openly with the buyers regarding performance of vendors for evaluation to assess whether to continue the partnership or not.
Submits the required reports.
Attends meetings, trade shows, conferences, conventions, and seminars to network with people in other supply chain organizations.
Assists purchasing staff when necessary.
Other vendor-related activities.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial / Electrical / Mechanical / Civil / Electronics and Communications engineering / or Supply Chain Management.
With at least 2 years of work experience in civil, electrical, mechanical, project management works and other similar field.
Amenable to work in Mandaluyong City.
Willing to do site visit when necessary.
