solutions Engineer - tempMSCI

Position Overview
MSCI is seeking an Analyst level Solutions Engineer as part of our Global Solutions Management team. As a member of our team, this candidate will be responsible for all aspects of client technical implementation from the specification and design process to final implementation and testing. The Solutions Engineer will work with Implementation Managers and Consultants following Agile Methodology, across all our regions EMEA, Asia, and Americas; and market segments, including banks and brokerages, hedge funds, asset managers, wealth managers and pension plans. The Solutions Engineer interacts closely with internal organizations and customers to deliver value to the client implementation, while also working closely with our product development teams on extensions to the standard product offering
Scope of Responsibility
The ideal candidate should therefore be attracted to work in a global team and have acquired strong technical skills with a basic knowledge of financial risk management methods. The candidate should also be productive and creative with an ability to thrive in a global organization.
Develop extensive knowledge of MSCI products and tools.
Be willing to adapt to latest tech stack i.e. ready to learn and contribute in AzureDevops, Apache Airflow, PowerBI, OpenText.
Develop and configure standard/bespoke automated workflows.
Learn MSCI propriety reporting framework and Develop PDF, Excel, CSV report templates with iterative client feedback.
Participate in an evolving and diverse global team.
Specific Knowledge/Skills
Bachelor's Degree, preferably B.Tech with finance electives or statistics.
Experience with Python, XML and Unix Shell scripting.
Experience in developing and configuring end to end automated workflows.
Familiarity with Apache Airflow, AzureDevops and Autosys.
Programming experience in Java or similar.
Desired Experience
Fluent English, written and oral, is a must.
Ideal candidate would be an Engineering grad., who has keen interest in Capital Markets or applying statistics knowledge for Market Risk analysis.
