Job Description:
The Solutions Design Lead is responsible in providing direction, inputs, and sign-off on technology
projects which can affect the different business-technical domains. He needs to ensure the overall
integrity of IT solutions, have knowledge of existing systems landscape, and align with the company's
overall systems strategy and any applicable IT standards. Role will be focused around designing a
solution that is as elegant, optimized, modularized and reusable as possible, ensuring the design is
flexible and extensible.
Job Responsibilities
Provides solutions design direction for Philippine IT projects, and works closely with the Delivery and Infrastructure teams on the execution.
Analyze current technologies used within the company and determine ways to improve.
Bring in technical and architectural expertise from outside, which can be infused to client's landscape, and identify opportunities for implementation.
Leads a group of Solutions Architects who handle specific verticals and provide overall direction, cadence, and administrative function.
Collaborate with Project Teams for successful delivery of program streams and individual projects, in accordance to the design direction.
Collaborate with the Enterprise Architect ensuring that solutions are in alignment with the overall EA and Technology strategy
Directs, reviews, and signs-off on technology projects. Uphold the architectural governance principles and good implementation design for architectural deliverable, ensuring that they adhere to what has been reviewed and approved by the governance bodies.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and collaborate with them on the development of their areas' technology roadmap, and ensure these are brought up to the overall Philippine IT Roadmap.
Assist the Enterprise Architect in updating the EA repository maintaining impacted components, relationships and attributes
Leads the Design and Development community of practice within the company, ensuring that design direction and practices are cascaded to the project teams effectively, and that alignment to these principles are adhered to on the work
Qualifications
B.S. in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent experience with special emphasis on solutions design, architecture, and Research and Development
10+ years experience in Information Technology, specifically in Design and Development roles.
Strong leadership, interpersonal & communications skills
Excellent team player, flexible, responsive & accountable
Self-motivated, quick leaner, out of the box thinker
Having worked in a matrix reporting environment is an advantage
