Position Summary The Connected Logistics Software Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting complex, business-critical track and trace solutions mandated by regulations in the tobacco, pharmaceutical and other relevant industries. You will resolve incidents and problems ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLA's) with the customers are met. You will be able to grow and apply your knowledge in a technology stack relevant to today's systems, which involves microservices architecture and docker containers. You will be exposed to efficient architectures for low latency and high throughput systems, wherein a significant amount of data is managed and coursed through several complexly integrated services and components. Key Responsibilities .Provide post-implementation software maintenance and support, ensuring that defined service levels are met. This includes analysis of complex production incidents, delivery of source code hotfixes, problem corrections through iterative software releases, root cause analysis, immediate incident workarounds, and preventive/corrective actions. .Identify system defects, bugs, optimization, and improvement opportunities in the source code. .Troubleshoot, research, debug, and replicate issues end to end in an environment of distributed systems including mobile devices, clouds, external repositories, and customer systems. .Propose, develop, and improve technical support operational, monitoring, and alerting tools used to assure system availability and data integrity. .Participate and be continually involved in: oOperational meetings and activities to act as the subject matter expert that can address complex technical production environment concerns. oDeployment meetings and activities to plan and implement releases and hotfixes into the production environment. oScrum meetings with other teams for development collaboration ensuring system interoperability and integration. .Provide 24/7 on-call support as required to handle emergency incidents, escalations, and hotfixes for business-critical concerns. .Create, improve, and publish knowledge management articles to continuously build and improve knowledge base. .Maintain legacy and new systems built using different versions/environments of Java and Spring Boot. .Understand track and trace software solutions, customer business processes, and industry regulations and legislations that drive the software life cycle.Write well designed, testable, efficient code. Ensure coding practices are following standards. YOU MUST HAVE .Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related subject. .A major, certificate(s) or in-depth experience in software maintenance and development. .2+ years' working in a software development or support function required. .1+ years' experience in a SaaS (Software as a Service) business. .2+ years' experience in Java 8 or higher environment. .2+ years' experience with design and development of REST API platform. .Experience in learning and utilizing proprietary programming languages and tools.
