JOB SUMMARY: Software Engineer is an entry level programming position. This position requires problem solving and analytical skills in addition to understanding of object oriented design and programming. He/she will produce commercial software components/services/solutions, execute moderate complexity software engineering assignments when provided high level business requirements and technical design guidelines from an architect or senior engineer with supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interpret business requirements and technical specification documents. Write application software code according to the business requirements and technical specifications.
Investigate, analyze and document reported software defects. Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified software defects
Create, document and implement unit tests.
Create and maintain technical documentation using appropriate templates.
Collaborate with other departments to better define requirements and implementation of software features.
Provide creative solutions to help improve the outcomes for pharmacy business unit. This includes new methods for business features and creative solutions to business requirements.
Learn and implement new technology to advance the project. Recommend and implement process improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree
At least two (2) years of professional experience in developing software with the Java programming language or a Master's degree with at least one (1) year of professional experience in software development with the Java programming language
Demonstrated knowledge of standard programming concepts, practices and algorithms
Experience with Object Oriented Design Patterns and their application in enterprise software applications
Experience in developing web services
Ability to breakdown requirements into stories and provide estimates, perform code reviews, raise technical risk and create technical documentation
Experience/demonstrated strong knowledge of the Java programming language:
Java
Spring Framework
Hibernate
Java Swing
Webservices
Spring boot
Oracle RDBMS and SQL syntax
React or Angular
GitLab, Git, Jira, Jenkins
Octopus, Ansible
Azure experience is a plus
Must have strong communication and inter-personal skills
