At xenCapital, we give our customers access to capital to help them grow. Many of Xendit's customers are SMEs and startups that can't get loans from banks and other traditional financial institutions; xenCapital tries to fill that gap by giving fast, flexible financing to empower them to grow their businesses. We are pioneering a financing system that integrates lending with payments for sustainable growth.
We're looking for a highly passionate software engineer to help us build xenCapital from the ground up, aiming for a system that is scalable and reliable. You'll be joining our technical team to build complex systems used by customers, partners and regulators. You'll get to work with our business and operations teams to understand and solve customer pain points and work with other engineers to build new features that will delight our customers.
Responsibilities
Understand customer needs and requirements, prioritise builds and add those into the technical roadmap
Account for the delivery of technical roadmap items on time
Build a great engineering team
Advance engineering standards, tooling, and processes
Identify technical gaps in our products & build improvements to the technology stack by planning the technical roadmap
Do whatever it takes to make Xendit succeed
You may be a good fit if
You have at least 3+ years of experience in developing, designing, deploying and maintaining applications that scale
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience
Experience in the following: Node.js, TypeScript, React
Experience with Postgres and relational database schema design and query optimization
Familiarity with unit, integration, and E2E test frameworks (Jest,,)
Familiarity with cloud services and Infrastructure As Code (AWS, GCP, Buddy)
Familiarity with Postman, Open API Specification 3.x and well-designed REST APIs
Familiarity with Scrum development methodologies
Ability to break down complex product requirements into well-groomed user stories
Thrive on being independent and have proven you can push towards a goal by yourself and with your team
Communicate well across teams
Bonus points if you have experience in banking, lending and/or financial services
