Senior Software Engineer Taguig, National Capital Region, Philippines
Position Summary
A Software Engineer at Infor performs product development, and maintenance of an application or solution package. Part of the development work involves systems analysis, and some research and thorough understanding of the application or of the features that are outlined in the product roadmap. They would need to run unit testing, as well as integration testing of their codes. Occasionally, they may be tapped to perform client work on moderately complex applications. On most occasions, they will lead in the triage and initial investigation of reported bugs either by internal or external customers. They are also required to produce technical documentation of their work output. It is expected of them to keep themselves abreast with new technology or development tools and latest IT trends.
A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
Performs moderately complex product development, systems analysis and programming activities which may require some research and analysis:
Performs development, implementation and maintenance of single product modules/sub-systems or on lower level issues of multiple products.
Prepares technical documentation of product modules/sub-systems.
Conducts unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits.
Assist with estimation and planning activities
Participate in reviewing deliverables from other development teams, including designs, test plans, and documentation help identify and resolve gaps between requirements and technical design
Performs moderately complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products. Researches problems discovered by QA or product support and develop solutions to the problems.
May assist in performing client work on moderately complex applications.
Researches and understands the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues.
Researches new technology or development tools to remain informed of current technology.
What You Will Need:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent
A minimum of 3 years prior Software Engineer / Programmer / Developer experience for SE (7 years for SSE)
Strong experience working with Object-Oriented Programming languages.
Has completed formal trainings/certifications on Software Development best practices and life cycle.
Must possess the following BA skills and competencies to be a hybrid Software Engineer/Business Analyst: Oral and written communication skills; Comprehension skills; Analytical thinking and problem solving; Being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy; Organizational skills; Understanding of networks, relational databases and other technology.

Required Skills/Proficiency in:
Experience or certification on Scrum/Agile Methodology
Knowledge and/or experience in HR application development, software integration, and data migration
Experience in web services development
Experience in Test-Driven Development and unit testing
Amenable to do development work using proprietary language
