Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs product implementation of new functionality, programming, bug corrections, release testing, and beta support which may require research and analysis. Software Design experience including architecture, design (software and database), review and mentoring.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs moderately complex product development, systems analysis and programming activities which may require some research and analysis:
Performs development, implementation and maintenance of single product modules/sub-systems or on lower level issues of multiple products.
Prepares technical documentation of product modules/sub-systems.
Conducts unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits - both manual and automated.
Assist with estimation and planning activities
Participate in reviewing deliverables from the team and other development teams, including designs, test plans, and documentation help identify and resolve gaps between requirements and technical design
Performs moderately complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products. Researches problems discovered by QA or product support and develop solutions to the problems.
May assist in performing on-site client work on moderately complex applications.
Researches and understands the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues.
Researches new technology or development tools to remain informed of current technology.
EDUCATIONAL/SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or similar in software engineering or computer science.
Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of technical experience in product design, programming and product support.
Good technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design, programming and implementation.
Good analytical and design skills at multiple product level.
Good skills in research and analysis, project planning and implementation.
Good understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance especially in Agile or Scrum.
Aware of business issues as they impact overall project plans and more importantly correctly identify and prioritize appropriate work items.
Good communications and interpersonal skills.
Advanced PC skills.
Helps to mentor less experienced employees in addition to fostering teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of one or more for the position relevant technologies and concepts in the following order of preference: JavaScript, React JS, SQL.
