Roles and Responsibilities
A Software Engineer is a hands-on role responsible for developing features and maintaining the software. The SE will work closely with the development team providing development expertise for both new features & existing issues. SE will be responsible for supporting a production environment with multiple Java microservices as well as providing technical support to a large customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new features in Java REST API
- Participate in code reviews
- Participate in sprint planning and feature scoping
- Provide technical support to the customer base
- Uphold the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of the systems
- Ability to communicate technical issues intelligently and professionally to non-technical stakeholders
- Provide analytical support to the internal business via Elasticsearch or MySQL queries
- Maintain mature Java and node.js
microservices
Required Experience
- Good to have experience with RESTful APIs design & development
- Experience in Asynchronous programming is preferred
- Experience with Node & React is preferred
- Experience of working in an Agile developed environment
- Experience with version control software such as Git
- Must have worked with relational databases preferably MySQL
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of Computer Engineering or Science degree or equivalent experience
- Must have 3+ years Java Programming experience with professional experience developing applications using Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPQL
