Role/Department Description
As an engineer within the Content Engineering ESG Integration team, you will be responsible for integrating numerous third party vendor ESG feeds into FactSet's backend suite of databases.
Besides the feed integration, you will also be responsible for developing common tools to automate the ingestion and integration of future ESG feeds - ideally by letting Product Development/non-engineer personnel to add feeds via configuration.
The integration will follow the new Content Pipeline integration model which involves ETL through internal tools, Data Lake, client-facing storage in a relational database and exposing this into FactSet's applications through C# .NET Core or Python-based DataHub Restful APIs.

Proven ability to maintain expected levels of productivity and increasingly becoming independent as a software developer, requiring less direct engagement and oversight on a day to day basis from one's manager.
Focus is on developing software and increasing volume of work accomplished (with consistent quality, stability and adherence to best practices), along with gaining a mastery of the products to which one is contributing and beginning to participate in forward design discussions for how to improve based on one's observations of the code, systems and production involved.
Responsibilities:
Develop, test and deploy software Additional features and/or content is released to solution end users
Continued learning through additional training's and code review sessions.
Improved quality and productivity of output
Communicate and collaborate with product developers, direct manager and engineering peers to develop the correct solutions Effective project planning and development of expected solutions
Respond to bugs and requests for product development through internal systems Effective engagement in development and feedback lifecycle
Required Skills:
Has an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent training & had completed FactSet engineering training program
Has strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated technical ability in C# and Python
Relational database experience (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or a similar RDBMS) and ETL processes
Ability to develop software in the required languages and using required 3rd party tools, applications and libraries where needed.
Ability to learn and apply internal systems and processes for developing and deploying software
Ability to apply code review feedback and improve future design and development quality and productivity
Ability to communicate effectively with peers within the organization
Ability to prioritize and set own goals on shifting priorities
Willingness to participate in rotating on-call duties for data services
Desire to learn more about Content Engineering infrastructure, technology and data service frameworks
