Job Purpose
The Software Engineer is responsible for documenting, developing, improving, and maintaining features of the software, conducting testing and fixing of features, implementing User Interfaces made by the UI/UX team, and providing technical support for the product teams. This role assists the Lead Software Engineer in mentoring developers and other tasks that are usually reserved for Lead Software Engineers.
Job Summary
The Software Engineer is responsible for the development and improvement of software application features by creating a technical specification document based on business requirements, delivery of developed features, testing of developed features, management of Jira tickets, and providing level 3 support to production issues. This role assists the Lead Software Engineer in mentoring other developers and other tasks such as formulating standards, best practices.
Key Accountabilities
Features Development
Develop features and write technical specification documents according to refined functional requirements fully coordinated by the Business Analyst and the Product Manager;
Technical Support
Analyze and fix production issues and report the resolution to leads/technical support team;
Talent Development and Continuous Improvement
Mentor other developers, assisting Lead Software Engineer, and contribute to the company's drive for continuous improvement;
Technical Documentation
Create and revise documents that cover the architecture, structure, design, etc web application products.
Performs other ad hoc activities as necessary and as prescribed by the Immediate Manager or Authorized Representative.
Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information System, or Information Technology.
At least 1 year of work experience as a developer is preferred.
Required skills: ASP.Net MVC(C#, Html, Razor), SQL, Git
Nice to have but not required skills: Javascript, React.JS.
Knowledgeable in Jira is a plus.
Exposure to an agile environment is a plus.
Must have good testing and programming aptitude.
Must be comfortable with the English language and the ability to communicate well.
Willing to work in Makati following Australian time & holidays.
