What You'll Do
Providing high level design and technical solutions for Cloud Engineering team. Our business is growing, and we are after an experienced Software Engineer to join the team. You will prioritize multiple tasks effectively to provide the platforms, tools, and processes. The services provided by the team you will be involved with building and connecting sustianable cloud-native systems to thrive in the cloud ecosystems which includes: Cloud-native software development, client-specific solutions, container deployment, serverless platforms, automation, continuous integration/deployments, custom microservices, and API-based solutions. Tasks include:
Works with delivery stakeholders to define test automation scope
Integrates test automation with CI/CD toolsets
Develops test automation scripts for Unit Test, System Test and Systems Integration Test
Conducts code reviews with Development team
Prepares test data
Executes test automation scripts
Reports on test automation execution and coverage
Participates in and contributes to all Agile team activities and events
Effectively manages risks, issues, dependencies and stakeholders throughout the delivery
Lead and coach a small team to help create a participative and inclusive work environment
What You Have
At least 3 years' QA Engineering experience with deep knowledge of test automation tools and methods including experience with delivering in-sprint automation, ideally gained in a consulting / agency envirnment with tier one clients.
Proficiency in Java programming and reviewing java code
Proficiency in NodeJS with strong understanding of sync and async
Proficiency in using Git version control
Experience with agile testing methodologies including unit test
Critical thinking experience, ability to analyse and make informed decisions.
Good communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, ability to negotiate and influence both internal and external customers
Ability to develop and deliver test automation scripts autonomously and the ability to integrate test automation with common source control and build management tool
Demonstrate resourcefulness and adaptability
Desire to learn, innovate and think out of the box
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
