The main objective of the Software Developer role is to be responsible for enhancing, developing, installing, testing, and modifying enterprise software systems. This role analyzes user requirements and implements them into software systems and troubleshoots issues and applies fixes to systems as they arise.
Job Description We are looking to hire a skilled Magento developer to build and maintain eCommerce websites and catalogs to support the company's mobile applications. As a Magento developer, the candidate will be responsible for liaising with the design team, setting up Magento platform, building modules and customizing extensions, testing the performance of each channel, and maintaining security and feature updates after the installation is complete.
To ensure success as a Magento developer, the candidate should have excellent object-orientated programming knowledge, hold certifications for Java and Magento development, and be able to project manage. Ultimately, a high-level Magento developer can build and maintain a user-friendly eCommerce platform and catalog for mobile applications that perfectly meets the needs of the customers and business.
Additional Job Description
Develop custom extensions for Magento 1 and 2 for specific business needs
Perform support and development tasks on the Magento eCommerce Platform
Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents
Debug complex issues and bugs using debugging tools
Conduct code reviews
Create, document, and implement unit tests and scripts
Liaise with team members, clients, and 3rd party service providers to develop new ways to enhance website functionality and eCommerce conversion
Ensuring high-performance and availability
Managing all technical aspects of Magento
Work closely with front-end developers and customers to ensure an effective, visually appealing, functional and intuitive implementation
Defining REST API, and/or Web Services
Support front-end UI team with the constructed API/Web Services
Design and implementation of continuous integration and deployment
Provides technical expertise, troubleshoots, guides and supports during design, development, testing, production, and post-production
Understand the source system, capture and document business rules
Analyze and propose changes to maximize code reusability and maintaining business value
Provides expert technical knowledge and solutions pertaining to Data integration.
Identify opportunities to optimize the front end environment, implement monitoring, quality and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Ensure compliance to internal standards and guidelines including security.
Conduct unit testing and component integration testing for solutions developed
