Summary:
The Software Developer - Cloud Applications role will be an integral member of a Development Team that deploys applications in Google Cloud. This role will be responsible for architecting and deploying robust cloud applications and systems that will enhance Dexcom's ability to offer automated self-service capabilities and an improved Customer Experience via our Contact Center platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Deploy cloud solutions in Google Cloud that will enhance Customer Experience and offer Automation and Self-Service capabilities.
Work closely with all key stakeholders to derive CX system requirements and to architect cloud solutions that will solve business needs.
Participate in project design, predictive modeling, and post-project reporting & testing to deliver cloud applications.
Provide training, perform system Knowledge transfer, and mentor technical staff for troubleshooting, configuration and overall system understanding.
Partner with IT Enterprise Applications, IT Integration, R&D and Mobile Apps teams to deliver systems that will enhance Dexcom's overall cloud architecture.
Demonstrate initiative and follow through, along with strong project management skills.
Adhere to the Change Management Processes and Procedures.
Follow the Agile Software Development Methodology and participate in all Sprint Ceremonies.
Have positive, service-oriented attitude, teamwork-oriented mentality, and sharpened writing, oral and interpersonal skills.
Ensure compliance with existing policies and procedures pertaining to Sarbanes-Oxley, FDA, PCI, and HIPAA regulations.
Assume and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Experience with Google Cloud architecture and services, specifically GAE, CloudRun, Firestore, Cloud Functions, CloudSQL and Logs Explorer.
Experience writing code in Python/JSON/YAML/Javascript/Node.js.
Experience with serverless technologies and Kubernetes/Docker containers.
Experience with API-based applications and integrations utilizing RESTful Web API standards, HTTP, URI, and XML.
Understanding how Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence technologies can be used to enhance Customer Experience.
Strong technical understanding of cloud-based SaaS environments and Cloud offerings.
