Job Description Part of the IT Asset Management (ITAM) team and will assist the IT Asset Manager in formulating the long term strategic management of Globe's IT assets. Job Description The SAM Specialist's role is responsible for the financial success of the software portfolio Globe Telecom owns. The SAM Specialist ensures that Globe's use of software is compliant to the terms and conditions of software vendors, the SAM policies and end to end lifecycle processes are up to date and SAM tools are optimized. Process and Governance Conducts SW internal Audit Process to ensure Software Asset Management policies and processes are evergreen. Support external software related audits Track and ensure SAM KPIs are met. Work and collaborate closely with different teams to forecast/trend SW usage Create and maintain monthly software reports specific to compliance and financial risk/savings. Analyze complex software license agreements and deployments to obtain license positions with various publishers such as but not limited to Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe etc, and provide license optimization recommendations. Develop, communicate and cascade all licensing related changes to stakeholders such as but not limited to software version changes and end of support life. Utilize and optimize Software Assets Management Tools to ensure accuracy of software deployments, up to date Software catalog and software compliance across Globe Telecom. Software Asset Management Facilitate routine activities relating to software such as renewal of licenses, software request and assessment. Maintain and track software entitlements and publish software related information including key codes, and other documentation to support internal stakeholders. Work closely with Software owners/proponents to assess new software demands, to re-baseline license needs during software renewal review and recommend best approach Handle tickets/requests/issues related to software licensing and efficiently resolve it with internal stakeholders.
